Couples Counselling

“Connection is why we’re here; it’s what gives purpose and meaning to our lives.”

A Balanced & Compassionate Space for you Both

I am passionate about helping couples create the relationship they desire. My compassionate and balanced approach supports both partners, ensuring each of you feels heard, respected, and treated with openness and fairness.

Every couple I work with engages in a personalised therapeutic journey shaped around their unique relationship, values, and goals. I work flexibly, drawing on a range of evidence-based approaches tailored to your needs.

I also bring highly sought-after experience working with queer and neurodivergent couples. These relationships often benefit from a more tailored approach that honours differences in communication styles, sensory needs, emotional processing, identity, and lived experience. The way I work is often described as invaluable in helping partners reduce misattunement and build connection in ways that genuinely work for them.

Sessions are available face-to-face in Wodonga for couples from Wodonga and Albury-Wodonga, as well as by telehealth where appropriate. I work with adult couples, including queer, LGBTQIA+ and heterosexual relationships, rather than children, adolescents or family counselling.

An Approach Shaped to Your Relationship

This includes Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFCT), elements of the Gottman Method, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for Couples, and Compassion-Based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy — adapted to your relationship, communication styles, lived experience, and the changes you are working toward.

This flexibility allows us to focus on practical and meaningful ways of creating change, such as reflective listening, perspective-taking, assertive communication, boundary setting, healthy conflict navigation, rebuilding trust, and strengthening emotional safety.

Together, we will clarify what matters most to you as a couple and focus on goals that feel relevant and achievable. I offer tailored practices to support progress between sessions, helping you translate insight into meaningful, lasting action.

Supporting Growth in Your Relationship

Couples counselling isn’t only about repairing what feels broken. It’s also about strengthening what already exists and creating space for growth. In a safe and confidential environment, you’ll have the opportunity to explore challenges, build understanding, and develop healthier ways of connecting – together.

Why Couples Counselling Works
